Arthur enjoys Staff Awards
Arthur Hambleton, a resident of Steepleton Manor was a special guest at the 2008 Altogether Staff Awards. Arthur joined 40 other guests at the Hotel Rembrandt in Weymouth and enjoyed a splendid evening, which included a 3 course meal, champagne, magician and DJ. Guest of Honour and presenting the awards was Imelda Richardson, Regional Director South West for the Commission for Social Care Inspection. Other guests included Martin Cypher (RBS) and Ursula Dunn (Remo). The award winners included: Caroline Sharp (Manager of the Year), Martin Strange (Chairman's Choice), Debra Semmens (Nurse of the Year), Julie Old (Care of the Year), Debbie Dumper (Support Staff of the Year),, Clare Buckley (Administrator of the Year), Vanessa Clift (Achiever of the Year) and Gemma Gordge (Newcomer of the Year).
Arthur is an ex-Chief Constable of Dorset and won the Military Cross as a Royal Marine during the Second World War. He is typical of the many men and women with fascinating stories, who make up our community.
