Give and take makes a happy marriage
Alexander and Sheila Scott will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on 24th January with family and friends at Weymouth Care Home, where they have both lived since July 2007.Weymouth Care Home is part of the Altogether Care Group, which offers a full spectrum of care, from luxury respite, to care in the home, residential and full nursing care provision.
The happy couple were both born in Cape Town, South Africa and met through work. They married in church in 1948 and moved to England in 1955. They have five children, eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
When asked they both agreed that the secret of a happy marriage is ‘give and take’. The couple plan to celebrate their anniversary at Weymouth Care Home and will enjoy champagne, cake and an afternoon buffet with family, friends and staff.
The couple previously lived in Preston before moving to Weymouth in 2007.
